Getting started
Install PHRONEN, open it in a project folder, and hand it a job — in the terminal or in your browser.
1. Install
PHRONEN needs Python 3.11 or newer. Install it from the repository; phr and phronen are the same command.
git clone https://github.com/WorkbenchAI-com/OWN-AI.git phronen && cd phronen
python3 -m pip install -e '.[tui]'
phr --versionFor the browser tool (PHRONEN opening and testing web pages), add the browser extra and its browser once:
python3 -m pip install -e '.[tui,browser]'
python3 -m playwright install chromium2. Sign in to your account
Account sign-in links this computer so hosted work uses your plan and credits through PHRONEN’s gateway. End users do not paste a provider key. phr doctor reports what is ready on this computer.
phr login --service https://phronen.com
phr account status
phr doctor # what is ready on this computer3. Run it in a project
Open a terminal in any folder and run phr. That folder is the project: PHRONEN reads it, edits it, runs its commands and starts its servers there.
cd ~/Projects/shop
phr # interactive
phr "add a dark mode toggle" # start with a request4. Or use the browser
phr serve starts the same engine as a local server. Open /chat on this site and it connects to it: conversations, live tool output, diffs, approvals, a live preview of the servers PHRONEN starts, and the project's files.
phr serve # http://127.0.0.1:8790, default folder ~/PHRONEN
