Credits

Work is metered in credits. Before a task runs, credits are reserved; when it finishes, the actual use is settled and the rest is released. Every movement is a ledger entry.

Limits cap what a task, a day, a standing responsibility and a month may spend (the defaults are on the pricing page). Free also has a rolling daily allowance separate from the monthly grant; when that daily allowance is used, new work waits even if monthly credits remain. GET /api/v1/credits includes headroom (daily vs monthly, and blocks_asks) so a client never treats monthly remaining as permission to ask. Above 80 % of a limit PHRONEN warns; at the limit it pauses the task and says which limit was reached — work in progress is never called done because the budget ran out.
