Talking with PHRONEN
A spoken conversation: say what you need, pause, and PHRONEN answers out loud — talk over it to change course.
Press the Talk button (the sound-wave icon next to the microphone) in any conversation. PHRONEN listens, hears where your sentence ends, and sends it. It reads the answer aloud sentence by sentence as it is written, so it starts speaking straight away.
- Talk over it and it stops speaking — and stops the work in progress — then listens to you.
- Code, links and addresses aren't read out; a long answer finishes on screen.
- The waveform is your microphone's own signal. The microphone button pauses listening; the ✕ or Escape ends voice.
- What you say is turned into text on your computer; the answer is spoken by your computer's voice.
Without headphones, your computer's own voice can reach the microphone, so talking over it needs a clear, sustained sentence. With headphones it reacts to the first word.
Dictation instead
The microphone button types what you say into the message box instead, so you can edit it before sending.
